Afterglow doesn’t collect any data. Adorea never sees your books, and the app has no analytics, ads, trackers or third-party code that sends data anywhere.
What stays on your device
What you enter
Your rows, amounts, balances, recurring charges, notes and workspaces are stored in Afterglow’s private storage on your device, protected by your device’s encryption.
Spreadsheets, exports and backups
Spreadsheets you import are read on your device. Exports and backups are made on your device and saved only where you choose. Nothing is uploaded.
Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts
Afterglow saves a small summary of your numbers on your device so widgets and Shortcuts can show it. It never leaves the device, and amounts are hidden there while Hide Amounts is on.
Face ID and Touch ID
Face ID and Touch ID are handled by your device. Afterglow only learns whether unlocking succeeded.
iCloud sync
iCloud sync is optional, and it’s off until you turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings, on each device.
When it’s on, your books are stored in your own private iCloud database through Apple’s CloudKit. Only your Apple Account can read it; Adorea can’t. Apple’s privacy policy covers iCloud.
To remove the synced copy, turn off Sync with iCloud and delete Afterglow’s data under your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings.
Purchases
Afterglow Plus is bought through the App Store, which handles the payment. Adorea never sees your payment details or your Apple Account. To know Plus is yours, Afterglow checks the App Store’s record of the purchase on your device.
Crash reports
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with Adorea. They contain technical details about the crash, never your books. Afterglow’s own logs never include amounts or names.
Children
Afterglow isn’t directed at children under 13, and it collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
